D.S. Latinoamérica Edición Uruguay: The biggest Longboard Dancing gathering in Latin America is coming!

Latin American longboard dancing is about to experience one of the most memorable moments in its history. On November 29 and 30, 2025, the city of Libertad (San José, Uruguay) will host D.S. Latinoamérica Edición Uruguay, an event that brings together the essence, energy, and soul of the community that turns dancing into art on four wheels.

Created in 2014 by Nahuel Ramírez in Argentina, the Dancing Shoes Latinoamérica Championship has become a symbol of creativity, cultural exchange, and unity among riders from all across Latin America. More than a competition, Dancing Shoes has become a space of belonging — a place where sport meets music, movement, and individual expression.

And now, in 2025, it returns with a special, intense, and emotional edition: a gathering described by its organizers as a possible “last dance,” an invitation to value the present and live every line, every step, and every flow as if they were unique.

A celebration of movement, community, and the present moment

Today, Dancing Shoes is one of the most important events in the Latin American scene, bringing together athletes from Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Peru. Each edition becomes a meeting point for athletes and enthusiasts who bring their styles, stories, and cultures — creating a truly unique atmosphere.

The spirit of the event seeks to redefine the concept of competition itself. Here, competing is not about defeating others:competing is about sharing, learning, and surpassing yourself. It is about evolving with the community, celebrating creativity, and embracing the collective energy that only longboarding can create.

In addition to the traditional competitive categories, Dancing Shoes stands out for its Non-Competitive category, which this year is named CANDOMBE, in honor of local Uruguayan music. In this special category, there are no judges, and each participant chooses their own song — a free, personal, and deeply expressive experience.

At Dancing Shoes, those who win are the ones who have the courage to participate. Simply by registering, each athlete is automatically entered into a large raffle with prizes offered by the event’s supporting brands. Here, participating already means winning.

Dancing Shoes Latinoamérica is exactly that: a celebration of longboard culture, the union of countries, the art of dancing on a board, and the joy of being part of something greater. The city of Libertad has embraced the event with enthusiasm, with support from the San José Department government and the local community, who opened their doors and hearts to welcome riders from several countries. Venues such as Ginásio San Isidro are part of the structure that will host athletes and the public with warmth and hospitality.
