Next Sunday, December 14th , Rio de Janeiro will host another edition of Mega Rolé , one of the most important active mobility events in the Brazilian urban scene, and one of the most anticipated by the longboard, skate, bike, rollerblade community and all those passionate about sports powered by human energy.

Since 2013 , Mega Rolé has brought together people of all ages in an event that goes far beyond a simple outing: it's a celebration of freedom, collective living, and the power of movement. Created with the aim of integrating urban tribes and encouraging healthy habits, Mega Rolé is recognized for strengthening the culture of non-polluting mobility.
Here, all forms of human-powered transportation are welcome, from skateboards to roller skates, from longboards to bikes.
With no age or experience restrictions, the event welcomes everyone from children to the elderly, connecting generations through respect, inclusion, and fun.
The route: 15 km of energy, integration and iconic landscapes.
The official route is 15 km long , starting at the Monument to the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (Monumento aos Pracinhas ) in Flamengo Park and ending at Post 12 in Leblon . Along the way, three strategic stops provide rest, refreshments, and a special moment of bonding among participants. It's a ride that combines sport, well-being, Rio de Janeiro scenery, and a collective spirit, all at the same time.

Stories that move us: a tribute in each edition.
A tradition of Mega Rolé is to honor people who make the movement happen. In each edition, someone is chosen who represents their sport and strengthens the community with attitude, presence, and passion.
During the event, the honoree receives a symbolic trophy — a way to immortalize someone who inspires not only for what they do, but for how they do it.

The vision of the creator: Kimberly Lorena
Kimberly defines Mega Rolé as a living celebration of human energy:
“I believe in movement as an awakening. Human energy connects us to the earth, to people, and to the city. Longboarding showed me freedom. Mega Rolé showed me the power of bringing people together. Here, there are no age or style limits—only the desire to occupy the streets with respect, love, and presence.”
The event, which began simply in 2013, has become an annual celebration that brings together between 150 and 250 participants , strengthening bonds, encouraging healthy habits, and celebrating diversity on the streets of Rio.

Why does Brasil Boards support this movement?
Because we believe in the same purpose: more people moving, more people occupying the city, more freedom on wheels, and more genuine expression of what it means to live the sport in everyday life.
Events like Mega Rolé perfectly represent what we see in sports: community, respect, inclusion, and passion.
If you'll be in Rio this Sunday, come and experience it. Mega Rolê isn't just an event, it's a movement that transforms. Brasil Boards will be there to support and accompany this energy that's making longboarding grow and take to the streets.
See you on the roll! 🛹🔥
